WHO I AM
I am a motivational speaker and life strategist whose commitment to public service spans two decades. Prior to launching my company I served as the first associate director of Citizens for Safety; associate director for the Southern Center for Human Rights; and director of finance and administration for the Africa Fund. I was also an Adjunct Professor at New York University's Center for Philanthropy and Fundraising where I was ranked as one of the top instructors in the department. In 2001, I founded Bijimba Consulting to provide technical assistance and direct services to nonprofit organizations including Project HIP HOP, Gilda's Club of New York City, The Young People's Project, and the South End/Lower Roxbury Youth Workers Alliance, Green Guerrillas, and FreshYouth Initiatives. In 2009, I changed the company name a second time and re-directed my focus to more closely align with my core values and beliefs. My work is fueled by a deep appreciation for the indomitable nature of the human spirit and the need for human kind to bring a higher level of consciousness to our personal and professional endeavors.
